Porsches at Manfield November 1987
At the ‘Charter Corporation Classic’ held at Manfeild on 7th November 1987, there were 22 Porsche cars entered. In addition to some of the other races these cars were raced in that day, these 22 cars raced in the penultimate round of the inaugural ‘Bridgestone-Porsche Club NZ Championship’ series.
The first race for Porsche drivers that day was Event 8 the ‘Government Printing Office Porsche Invitation Challenge’ a “warm-up race before Event 12 – Bridgestone Porsche Club Championship”. The entrants in Event 8 and Event 12, and the results by Class in Event 12, are as follows:-

Having completed their ‘Porsche-only’ races, further opportunities for Porsche drivers to race that day included some of Events 10, 13, 14, or 15. Cars in these races were included by race lap times and it is not known (in 2015) which races included Porsches.
Either Event 10, 13, 14 or 15 – all were ‘Invitation Challenge races for Sports Cars – “21 cars qualify, all categories except Saloons”.
